Dr. Curtis Odom

Class of ’90 President & Board Chair

Dr. Curtis Odom ‘90 is President and Board Chair of CHSAA. He has over 15 years of executive leadership and management consulting experience, preceded by a decade long active duty career in the US Navy.

He recalls his time at Classical with immense pride. He describes his class as a ‘very spirited’ one, with he and his friends proudly wearing Classical purple. His time as a student and varsity athlete at Classical instilled in him the importance of dedication, determination, drive, desire, and discipline – concepts he uses daily in his professional and personal life. Curtis advises current students and alumni to face their fears in the pursuit of success and to remember that everyone’s path is unique.

Curtis joined the Board with a desire to put his loyalty to Classical into action and has contributed to the Board’s increased efficiency and transparency. With the school’s best interest in mind, the Alumni Association works to ensure the financial gaps in school department funding are filled to support the Classical education that has benefited us so well. As an alumnus of color and President of CHSAA, Curtis connects on many levels with Classical’s diverse student body. He looks forward to  leading the Board into Classical’s 175th year with a focus on celebrating the history, legacy, diversity, and family that is Classical.

Curtis lives in Westport, MA with his wife and daughter. He is a certified sommelier, an avid golfer, a member of Mensa, and a business school professor at Northeastern University.
