Continue the Evening at WaterFire*

The Saturday September 22nd WaterFire will be a Salute to Rhode Island Educators and the Big Bang Science Fair. What better way to celebrate Classical’s 175 years of history than in collaboration with one of Providence’s most iconic summer features?

We will be at our booth on the walkway near Memorial Park, starting at 6:30 PM. There will be a giant birthday card for you to sign and purple glow sticks for you to wear and show your PURPLE PRIDE. A photographer will be capturing the night, so be sure to drop by!

WaterFire was first created in 1994 by Barnaby Evans and has since become an icon in Providence. WaterFire takes place every other Saturday during the summer months and features over 80 bonfires lit along the three rivers of downtown Providence. With music, art, gondola rides, and amazing views of the city, WaterFire has attracted over ten million visitors. WaterFire is free and open to the public.

Classical High School was founded in 1843, making it 175 years old this year and one of the oldest public high schools in New England and across the States. We’re celebrating with WaterFire on September 22nd to celebrate Classical’s rich history in Providence.

* This is in lieu of the previously announced celebration at the Hope Club.
